Though we may all dream of a large and bountiful garden, sometimes we just don’t have the space! Fear not! We can still garden in containers on the balcony or the back stoop! In this collection, we have included some of our varieties that do the best grown in containers. You will find them to be compact growers perfect for smaller spaces or vining types that grow up instead of out. You don’t need to stop here - you can try anything in a container (though we wouldn’t recommend corn or sprawling squash)!

Tomato - compact growth habit with high production, great for small spaces

Cherry tomato - red cherry tomato, sets loads of fruits for its size

Radish - quick to mature, you can get more than one round in a season

Early Jalapeño - sets a good amount of small but powerful peppers

Mesclun Mix - a wide variety of our lettuces to fill any growing space you have

Chives - an excellent flavor booster to have in every kitchen, easy to grow, hardy, beautiful flowers as well

Basil - a wonderful herb to have on the patio, in the house, or anywhere you can get it some sun

Snap Peas - though peas typically need support as they grow, they can be an excellent addition to a container garden as they don’t grow out, but rather up. This variety grows short 2’ vines that don’t need support.
